Elsie Jacobson

Postdoctoral Fellow

Elsie earned a B.Sc. in Genetics from the University of Otago in Aotearoa/NZ. She subsequently obtained her Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from the University of Auckland, NZ, where she studied mechanotransduction and the influence on 3D genome organization. In the Plath lab, Elsie investigates mechanisms of X-chromosome inactivation and the early stages of iPSC reprogramming. In her free time, Elsie enjoys playing with her cats and exploring the beaches, deserts, forests, and mountains of California (and beyond!).
